There are thousands of places around the U.S. to host your wedding. We get it; it can be stressful when there are so many options to choose from! We want to help narrow your choices down by showcasing one of the most beautiful cities to host your wedding—Pittsburgh! We will give you five reasons Pittsburgh has everything you need for the wedding you have always dreamed of. Also, be sure to check out our other articles, about wedding videography, how much they cost, and if they are worth hiring!

The Diversity of Pittsburgh Wedding Venues

Pittsburgh is known for being a “melting pot” of many different cultures and backgrounds. There are local businesses on every corner—ranging from specialty shops to restaurants. This diversity carries over into wedding venues, too. You will quickly find that there are so many different styles and themes to each wedding venue in Pittsburgh.

Something great you can do with your fiancé is plan a day or weekend in Pittsburgh and lay out a rough idea of all of the venues to look at in the city and make a date out of it. There are tons of different businesses, hotels, restaurants, and formal wedding venues to see. Not to mention, there are many historical locations as well as spots with killer city views. The options are nearly endless when it comes to finding a vibe or theme that you envision for your wedding.

What’s nice about Pittsburgh is that if you aren’t a city person, rural wedding venues aren’t far from the city of bridges. Within 30 minutes you can find some of the most beautiful wedding venues around. We’ll get into rural wedding venues a little later.

Along with choosing the correct setting for your venue, it's important to hire the proper photographer and videographers to capture the day perfectly. Feel free to check out our work and reach out.

Reasonably Priced Wedding Venues + Stunning Scenery = Amazing Value

Something that really makes Pittsburgh wedding venues such a great place to have your wedding is the price. Pittsburgh wedding venues are much more affordable compared to other larger cities like New York, Miami, or Las Vegas. And the thing is, the scenery is just as beautiful, if not more beautiful, depending on your preferences.

Of course, prices vary from venue to venue, and the price can be more expensive depending on what time of the year you are getting married, but this is a consideration that you would have to make anywhere you book a wedding venue.

Check some of these venue examples, and you will see how stunning a Pittsburgh wedding can really be.

Cookie Tables!

Pittsburgh weddings are known for a tradition that has been passed down for generations… cookie tables! It’s a rare occurrence to not see a cookie table at a Pittsburgh wedding. In fact, there is a Wikipedia page dedicated to it!

So, if you are invited to a Pittsburgh wedding, offer to make cookies for the cookie table—it’s kind of like offering to bring wine to a dinner party! And if you are hosting a Pittsburgh wedding, ask as many people as you can to start their ovens!

Endless Professional Vendors

Pittsburgh has an abundance of some of the most talented and passionate wedding photographers and wedding videographers.

As Pittsburgh wedding videographers, we can attest to this. There are so many vendors who live for the moments to see the smiles on your face when you first see your wedding photos and/or video.

Pittsburgh is known for its polite manners and joyful attitudes, especially on your wedding day! Having professional vendors who truly care about your big day just adds that cherry on top to the atmosphere of your wedding day.

Experience All the Seasons

Pittsburgh is a city that experiences all four seasons. And with that comes all sorts of events, decorations, and styles for each time of the year. This allows you to pick and choose what season and style best align with your wedding vision.

Sure, Tampa, Florida is a beautiful city for a wedding—but only if you love summer. If you love winter or fall, you just won't be able to match the feel of a truly fall or winter wedding, no matter how many decorations you use.

If you are a summer lover, however, Pittsburgh has gorgeous weather from the beginning of June to the early days of October, with temperatures ranging from 70 to 85 degrees.
